Pastor Jon (click comments)

I've been the student ministries pastor at AZ Hills for 3 years now and I'm lovin' it! Our student ministry is taking on a more mission/service mind set and I believe this trip to Latvia is the first big mission to get us going! I am very excited about the trip and to see what God is going to do through our students while we're there. I believe God calls us to go beyond our borders on mission for Him. Both globally and personally. That's what this team will be doing and I hope and pray you will come along side of us in prayer and encouragement.

Curtis, Cindy, R.J.(12), Brett(9), Marlee(7) all are very excited about the trip. We have been iterested in missions for a long time. Curtis and Cindy have known the Runzo's (The missionaries in Latvia)since college and this will be the second time Curtis and Scott have worked together on a missions project.

As a family we enjoy serving in church, camping, fishing, boating, and golfing.

The kids are looking forward to seeing their old friends Brennan, Helen and Hailey, as well meeting Andris the newest member of the Runzo family.

I've never been to Europe so im looking forward to witnessing and serving another type of people! In the last 4 years God has really opened my eyes to the rest of the world, and I am looking at this trip as just the start of my life long commitment to going and serving God's people! I love the term "WIN,Train,Send"! it spells out our duty! Win people for Christ, TRAIN them in God's ways, and then SEND them into the world to further His word!! mans thats awesome!
well, see you all later!
thanks for all the support everyone!

This trip is going to be awesome and I can hardly wait to see how God will work in us and through us in Latvia. I go to Shiloh Community Church on a regular basis, but I got plugged into AZ Hills because I felt God calling me to this mission trip. I have loved getting to know this group of people and am looking forward to working with them in Latvia. I have loved going on Mission trips to Mexico, Panama and to an Indian reservation in Northern Arizona with the Shiloh Youth Group, but I know this will be an awesome experience to serve God in another country. Your prayers are appreciated...Please keep in touch!

Im really excited to be going on this huge over-seas mission trip. Since our mexico mission trip I have been more interested in the missions field and spreading the Lord's word.

Its going to be a lot of hardwork but I think with God's help, we can truly reach the youth of Latvia.

Thank you all for your support and prayers

I am so excited for the Latvia mission trip. I loved doing the missions trips in Mexico and I think that with God's help, our team will be ready for this new challenge!

Aside from having tons of fun with AZ Hills youth group, I love to take on challenging new experiences, especially if it is a sport.

Please pray for us, and if you want, leave us a comment. We would love it! :)

Hey everyone its Jon. For those of you who dont really know me, let me give u a little bit of info about me. I go to Boulder Creek High School and was involved with the FCA and the Basketball team. On my free time i hang out with friends, go to the movies, and spend time with God. God has been a part of my life since i was four, but, it wasnt until i came to AZhills that my relationship with Christ grew into something i would have thought unimaginable. A man by the name of Aaron Nunez was serving as youth pastor. I emediately became close with him. I'd talk to him about my problems, friends, GIRLS, school, life, parents, SEX, and just about everything, u name it we've talked about it. Later he would leave AZhills to go help some unfortunate kids in Pennsylvania. Then, Jon Hatch came into the picture along with Adam. Although, as stubborn as i was to try and keep them away, i eventually realized that they to loved God and them also, were men with a great purpose. As im still getting closer to them, i learn more and more what awsome men they are.Im thankful for such an awsome oppurtunity that they have provided for us.To bring people from another country to christ. Thats absolutely amazing to me. thanks for reading everyone. Prayer would be deeply apreciated. Theres a guy by the name of satan who has been trying and will keep trying to keep this trip from happening.

I have been looking forward to this trip since I first heard about it. I have always had a heart for missions and for sharing the joy and love of Christ to others. I'm looking forward to teaching the kids in Latvia as well as learning from them and the rest of the team. I have a feeling that God is goin to do something big while we're in Latvia.

In case you're curious here's a little information about me: This coming school year I will be a Junior at SDOHS. My whole family is extremely active and very involved in athletics.(I was hapy to hear that the kids in Latvia love sports as well.) I, myself, am a runner.I am on my High School's X-Country and Track teams. I also go camping and backpacking often.

Please keep our whole team in your prayers as well as all aspects of the trip. Feel free to post comments for us, we could use the encouragement.

I am anxious to go on this trip with this great team of God's followers! I have always loved missions trips to Mexico and serving in any way that God leads me to.

I enjoy creating powerpoint presentations for the youth service on Sunday mornings, playing baseball, and hanging out with friends.

Please write comments frequently as I'm sure we will all be home sick.
