Curtis, Cindy, R.J.(12), Brett(9), Marlee(7) all are very excited about the trip. We have been iterested in missions for a long time. Curtis and Cindy have known the Runzo's (The missionaries in Latvia)since college and this will be the second time Curtis and Scott have worked together on a missions project.
As a family we enjoy serving in church, camping, fishing, boating, and golfing.
The kids are looking forward to seeing their old friends Brennan, Helen and Hailey, as well meeting Andris the newest member of the Runzo family.

Thanks David, Scott reminded me that it is a good thing when you are persecuted. Good news Emily's bags just arrived right befor Scott left to meet up with the group. I am in Riga for a couple more days, Brittainy, Loreen, and Elina and others are with the girls until then.

Thanks for the heads up. :) Know that we continue to pray for you and the gang daily! We are constantly figuring out what time it is there and then trying to imagine what ya'll are up to. I will pray specifically for you and Lisa as you prepare for VBS. Also prayers for Curtis as you are working with the HS gang. And of course hugs to each of you, Cindy, Curtis, R.J., Brett and Marlee!

Curtis and Cindy, we want to thank you both for your faithfulness to God. Thank you for making us feel peace about sending Hailey over with you all on this mission trip. We are praying for all of you daily and look forward to all of the praise reports on the people of Latvia.
Cindy, thank you for the note on Hailey's comment page. For the note regarding her birthday,that is so cool that you all sang to her. It's hard having your kids gone on their birthday, so thanks for filling in for us. You are a very special group of people. I kind of thought she would buy a purse at some point over there. She collects them (about 15 right now...I always know where to go if I need one!) Thanks again Cindy. You are a blessing to us. Give my Hailey a hug for me!!!

Curtis, We are praying for the young man you were talking with. Just listening to Chris Tomlin's cd about how God is mighty, awesome, powerful, mighty to save. The cross is powerful and brings life to death. Our God is so great and gives us hope. Also praying for the return of the missing equipment. If it was taken, that is the work of the enemy and he has no power. We will pray for the return of everything and really believe whatever was missing will turn up. Thank you for the updates. Take care and have a great day tomorrow at VBS. Also, we spoke with Hailey again yesterday. Wow! She is having a great time bonding with the team and the kids in Latvia. I'm not sure she is in a hurry to come home:) Thank you Lord!!

Hey Curtis, looks like London may not happen for me. They'll only allow us to go there for official travel (to catch a plane) so, i'll miss you by one day. I'll be flying out on the 19th at 1035 on United headed for D.C. maybe I'll see you there! take care and God bless. Sean
Hi Curtis and Cindy! We are so excited for all that God is doing with you and the kids there in Latvia - especially the 10 saved kids! That is so awesome! The VBS looks like lots of fun from the pics and the decorations are wonderful Cindy! I just want to know - how did the pretzels survive the trip? : ) Have a great last few days and enjoy your time in London on the way home - if you go by Wimbledon buy me a t-shirt and I'll pay your back! continue to pray for us as we are now safe at home but had a rough go of it the last two days, nothing seems to have gone right.
We couldn't find David in London, they didn't have our reservation from Chicago to Phoenix,our friend got yet another flat tire picking us up at the airport(she had one on the way as well) our car was towed and impounded while we were trying to get a tow,we had to rent a car and we haven't slept in 28 hours and our AC is not working well But.... We are thankful everthing always worked out when we were with the big group:)and now we just want to turn around and go back to Latvia!!
